Australia’s native Black Cockatoos are facing increasing pressure due to habitat loss and a shortage of natural nesting sites. At Carnaby’s Crusaders, we fabricate and install species-specific artificial hollows to support these iconic birds in the wild. Our work not only aids conservation efforts but also includes public education through engaging displays that raise awareness about the importance of protecting native species.
In 2026 our Founder and Director, Dean Arthurell, will be presenting an insightful talk to the Mundaring Garden Club, sharing how Carnaby’s Crusaders is helping to secure a future for the Black Cockatoo and how individuals can play a role in conservation.
